The Rocoyutoc trek is a lesser-known but stunning route located in the northern section of the Cordillera Huayhuash in Peru. DETAILED ITINERARY

  • Pick up from your hotel or our agency and drive south toward the Huayhuash region. Enjoy scenic views of the Andes along the way.

     

  • Begin hiking at approximately 4,100 meters (13,450 ft). The trail gradually ascends through highland terrain toward the Rocoyutoc viewpoint.

  • Enjoy panoramic views of snow-capped peaks, alpine valleys, and the Rocoyutoc glacier. Take time for photos, snacks, and rest.

  • Descend back to the trailhead and begin the drive back to Huaraz. Estimated arrival by 6:30 PM.
